Just because you are supposed to be relaxing and taking some time off, does not eliminate the fact that accidents happen. Medical bill incurred in a country that desperately needs a staff, facilities, and supplies will have to charge a greater price for treatments. This is the main reason insurance is so important. Traveler's insurance or medical insurance should be included on every to do list, before leaving on vacation.

Prepare yourself for the social standings and availabilities of the country you will be staying. There are many different ways of medical procedures unlike that of your home country. Educating yourself in these areas will help you if medical attention is of urgency while you are in another country.
